This is my 9th year teaching at Union, and 11th year teaching. I graduated from St. Xavier University with a Bachelor of Music Education in 2014. Students will see me in many places around the school! I teach music and band (T/TH), the school librarian (M/W/F), Reading Interventions (M/W/F), 2nd lunch monitor (M-F), and Greenhouse/STEM aide (M/W) . My favorite things are: music, books, anything purple, and Harry Potter.

Library
Book Checkouts
Books need to be returned the same day as your student’s library day.
Monday- Kindergarten, 5th-8th
Wednesday- 2nd
Friday- 1st, 3rd, 4th
Each student may checkout 2 books each week, 3 when there are scheduled days off the following week. If a classroom teacher requires an extra book to be taken out, it will be at their decision. Books can be renewed, but must still be brought in each week, or it will be marked late. Books are due 1 week after they are checked except for scheduled days off or break.
Fines and Damages
Students with overdue books have up to 2 weeks to return the late book. After 3 weeks from the checkout date, the book will be considered lost and will either need to be returned immediately or send in cash or a check, made out to the school, to pay for the missing book. Until the book is returned, the student may not check out another book. It is suggested that students keep their library books in their backpacks, unless they are reading, to ensure books will not go missing.
Should a library book be damaged in anyway, such as missing pages, water damage, or writing in the book, the student will be fined for the replacement cost of the book.
Please consider donating to the library if there are any new or slightly used books at home, that your student is no longer reading.
If you need to get in touch with me, you may reach me the best through Class Dojo or email.
