All students who need reading or math interventions will receive an intervention. Union school uses AIMSWEB, MAP, and PARCC testing to determine student needs. AIMSWEB tests check for your child’s level of fluency, comprehension, letter naming, sound recognition and math fluency and competence. MAP testing will be completed three times this year in order to measure student growth in comparison to national norms. IAR testing will occur once this school year. Currently, Union school will test all students in grades 3-8 in reading, language skills, and math. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s academic process please contact your child’s teacher.
